Tone and World

The 90s' were the golden era of sitcoms. Family Matters, Step-by-Step, Rosanne, Friends, Seinfeld, and yada-yada, you get the point. Each had its own style, but all shared a common tone/theme: A central group of people living and going through life together. They were family, even if it wasn't through blood. We cared about them individually just as much in their groups.

Seinfeld's Harold improv structure made it stand out against everyone else and become the best. Smith and Smith will implement a similar format.

Structure: It will start with a cold open of ideas and foreshadowing events broken up into three stories( A, B, C). As we follow each story, they will crisscross each other till they culminate in the finale where themes and elements of the episode/stories run head-on with each other for a reveal of pure coincidental comedy gold.
